certified!*
The training on the CD is
produced in a classroom
environment with a professional
instructor showing you and
telling you exactly how to setup
each configuration in detail.
Students will learn from
real-world scenarios taught by
our expert instructors. The
instructors featured in our
PowerLearning™ training systems
are not only certified in their
area of expertise, but also have
years of real world experience
and are subject matter experts
in their fields.
There are dozens of new features
available in Visual Studio 2005:
language constructs, compiler
features, developer
productivity, an improved
debugging experience; language
innovations for Visual Basic and
C#, including generics,
iterators, partial types, and
anonymous method; and
productivity enhancements
include refactoring, code
expansions, code formatting, and
enhanced IntelliSense.
Using typed DataSets generated
by Visual Studio 2005 is easier
and more flexible than ever
before. The DataSet Designer
provides an easier and more
natural tool for defining
DataSets. The new TableAdapter
class, configurable from within
the DataSet Designer, provides a
single, centralized mechanism to
easily maintain and execute
multiple different queries and
commands against a specific data
table. Using the partial class
compiler feature allows complete
separation between
designer-generated and
developer-written code, allowing
regeneration of the DataSet
classes without affecting any
custom code that has already
been written to extend these
classes. Finally, the new .NET
data-binding classes and
mechanisms, combined with the
tools offered within Visual
Studio 2005, make developing
data-centric applications much
easier and faster.
Developers want to build safe
applications, but most
developers don't want to spend
an inordinate amount of time
learning about securing their
applications. They would rather
write the code and the
algorithms that solve the
problem and ship the product,
without having to worry about
security. Currently, however, we
can't build fire and forget
applications. We need to
understand the security
implications of the decisions
that we make. With that in mind,
the tools that we use to build
and ship applications can make
it much easier to ship secure
applications. Most of the tools
and enhancements in Visual
Studio 2005 require very little
extra work and can have a
tremendous impact on the overall
security of your applications.
Whether you're building a small
utility or a huge,
mission-critical system, the
safety of your customer's
machines and the security of the
applications you build should be
a top priority. With the new
tools built into Visual Studio
2005, you can build, test, and
deploy secure application more
easily than ever.
