The "HAZWOPER Series"
of training programs provides
employees with information the
regulation requires them to
receive in their training
sessions. By combining various
programs in the series, training
packages can be configured to
help meet all of the OSHA
HAZWOPER* training requirements.
There are
a number of formats from which
to choose, including:
DVD
(Video based) training programs
These programs come with an
easy-to-use leader's guide,
scheduling and attendance forms,
employee quiz and training
certificate. The leader's guide
coaches trainers through
preparing for and conducting the
training session... including
setting up the classroom and
involving employees in class
discussions. DVDs are subtitled
(which make them the perfect
training alternative for hearing
impaired employees) and are
structured so that the programs
can be played from beginning to
end or by section, and are
indexed so that sections can be
accessed in any order. (You need
a VCR/TV capable of playing NTSC
format which most modern systems
are capable of playing or they
can be played on most PCs),
DVDs can be
used when training is done in a
classroom setting. The runtime
of the DVD
Courses are typically 10 to 25+
minutes long, depending on the
topic
Interactive CD-ROM courses with
built in Management Training
record system
Interactive CD-ROM and online
courses are typically used for
"one-on-one" training. Courses
come with a comprehensive
learning management system (LMS)
at no additional cost. Employees
proceed through the courses at
their own pace and are actively
involved in how the course
progresses. The LMS keeps track
of the employees' progress,
courses they have taken, test
scores and other important
information.
The
courses
use a powerful combination of
audio, full-motion video, text
and colourful graphics. With our
self-paced course employees can
receive training on their own
PCs...on demand...any time...and
at their own pace. CD-ROM
programs also increase
information retention by
directly involving employees in
the learning process. They
can..."See"..."Hear"...and
"Touch"...their training
material.
Training Manager can define and
set up curriculum...establish
log-in procedures...even set up
Pre and Post Tests. The System
also allows employee performance
information to be collected and
organized through a powerful
relational database, which can
generate a number of record
keeping and tracking reports.
Each Course is typically 30 to
45+ minutes long, depending on
the topic. Courses are divided
into a number of logical
sections, each with its own Quiz
and Test, so information is
easily understood...and
retained.

Hazardous materials and
waste are part of many
work situations, and can
be found in many types
of facilities. OSHA
feels that it is so
important for employees
to know how to recognize
these potentially
dangerous substances (as
well as how to handle
and dispose of them
properly) they have
mandated that anyone
working with these
substances receive
comprehensive training
in this area.
