Construction Health and Safety Series

Employees in the building and construction industry face a number of hazards every day from working with hand and power tools to exposure to hazardous chemicals. Their accident and injury rate is so high that OSHA has made building and construction companies a "target industry" placing added emphasis on working with them to try and combat this problem.

Our new "Construction Safety Series" teaches employees to spot hazardous situations and reviews what they can do to work safely and accident-free. The eighteen programs in the series cover important general safety and regulatory compliance topics.

The Safety Series have been developed in the USA but generally they are kept as generic as possible.

This series is available on DVD only. Web-based training is being developed

DVD (Video based) training programs

These programs come with an easy-to-use leader's guide, scheduling and attendance forms, employee quiz and training certificate. The leader's guide coaches trainers through preparing for and conducting the training session... including setting up the classroom and involving employees in class discussions.  DVDs are subtitled (which make them the perfect training alternative for hearing impaired employees) and are structured so that the programs can be played from beginning to end or by section, and are indexed so that sections can be accessed in any order. (You need a VCR/TV capable of playing NTSC format which most modern systems are capable of playing or they can be played on most PCs), DVDs can be used when training is done in a classroom setting.

The DVD versions of the programs are divided into 2-3 minute "chapters", so the programs can be shown in their entirety in a single session, or individual chapters can be used as the basis for a number of 10-15 minute "Tailgate Meetings" or "Toolbox Talks."

The runtime of the DVD Courses are typically 10 to 25+ minutes long, depending on the topic
