Microsoft Office 97 Suite

The SoftSkills award-winning interactive CBT  was designed for Microsoft Office 97 and for Windows 95, 98 NT4. It cover most of Office 2000 features.

The complete SoftSkills Interactive Suite includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Windows NT 4, Windows 95 and Windows 98.

The CBT is unique in its broad array of skill training and its flexible design methodology. The skills range from novice to expert, with proficiency-level skill training approved by Microsoft to meet certification examination requirements. The approach allows students unprecedented flexibility in designing the best learning path to meet their needs:

A linear path for users to build skills through Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. Projects are available allowing users to combine and integrate the skills they learn and apply them to a deliverable as they would in their working environment. This allows for building upon learned skills and retaining knowledge through interaction.

• A skill reference and index intermediate/advanced students allowing them to jump right to the training they need

• A certification path using pop-up windows and colour-coding in the index, for students wanting to focus on Microsoft Proficiency topics

• A test path for those who want to pre-assess what they know and don’t know, and jump directly to training on the topics they missed

The Office suite offers interactive training simulations with optional narration, which can be turned on and off at the student’s preference. This suite also features performance-based testing, providing a real-world methodology for assessing what students know how to do, rather than relying on multiple choice questions. The performance tests are divided into beginning, intermediate and advanced categories, with direct links to the training to missed questions.

Student usage and results can be tracked using SoftSkills Administrator and/or the innovative SoftSkills Reporter option.
