  e-books shine as IT study guides 

Electronic books are becoming increasingly more popular for IT study guides, especially with those who are constantly on the go and need to find a way to travel light. But can you really get used to reading books on a computer screen?

Although I wouldn't want to sit at my desktop system to read a novel, it works great for computer training, reference and troubleshooting books. Turning pages is as simple as clicking a button.

The search capabilities make it simple to find references based on keywords, to an extent that even the best back-of-book index can't rival. Not only do they make it less of a burden to take your hard cover books with you (and thus, more likely to actually put in the study time), but they also make it easy to annotate the book with your own notes - without damaging it.  

We are therefore pleased to announce our main format change, going forward, will be to replace the "hard copy" study guides with a PDF version. This will allow us to satisfy the requirements of many of our students. Hard copy study guides books will be available for an additional costs.  For those of us who to carry reference books with us when we go out on a job, that's a welcome relief.
